Leadership Tejas: Empowering Hispanic Leaders for a Stronger Future

The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) proudly presents “Leadership Tejas,” an innovative statewide leadership program aimed at identifying, recruiting, and nurturing midlevel Hispanic employees and community leaders to become exemplary role models. Over a span of six months, this program will equip participants with the skills and confidence they need to step up into influential leadership roles, thus bridging the gap in Hispanic representation in leadership positions in Texas.
Heat Hazard Alert - Employer's Responsibilities

OSHA issued a hazard alert reminding employers of their duty to protect workers against heat – even in Texas.

Every year, dozens of workers die and thousands more become ill while working in hot or humid conditions. OSHA's Heat Illness Prevention campaign educates employers and workers on heat hazards and provides resources to keep workers safe.

Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund

Funded by DoorDash, the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund provides $10,000 grants to local restaurants affected by state- or federally-declared natural disasters. Applications for the current round are open now and close September 29, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET. 

To be eligible, a business must be experiencing hardship due to a natural disaster, have a maximum of three locations, employ fewer than 50 employees per location, and have revenues of $3M or less per location in the last 12 months. See the Terms and Conditions for full eligibility criteria.
