Happy Easter to Your Family

HAPPY EASTER
from our Family to Yours!
During these horrific uncertain times it is so difficult being separated from our family, friends, and co-workers. It is difficult to think of how we may be able to return to “normal” or what that “normal” will look like. We are all struggling with safety, health, work, the economy, and happiness. We are people who are not accustomed to being stuck indoors with the same family members 24 hours a day for weeks on end. We are leaders, activists, business owners, entrepreneurs, volunteers, employees, and students who are out there serving the community every day – now we stay at home pondering how we can best do what we enjoy.

We are very grateful for our medical providers, first responders, military, and elected officials. Even through their training and experiences in catastrophes, no one expected such a difficult situation. We all should be especially indebted to our “essential” service providers such as those working at the grocery stores, gas stations, bus drivers, restaurants and so many more who are just trying to ensure that we all survive this pandemic.

We are all in this together, but apart. We may feel very detached and alone especially this weekend that has always been a time to share with our families. Reach out to as many family members and friends as possible – not just a telephone call but a video call so that you can see each other. Check-in with friends and neighbors who may be alone or would appreciate a friendly call.

We have many people – old, young, healthy, frail – who need us. No one should go to bed hungry – if there are not already services in your community, organize one; or just let them know they can count on a meal from you. Mental health, depression, anxiety, and sadness is very common during times like these. You are not alone, so reach out – call a friend, your faith leader, or a counselor. No one should be ashamed or embarrassed, there are many resources available that are free and anonymous.

TAMACC is here, as always, and everyone is welcome. We will continue to provide check-in conference calls, informational webinars, sharing resources, and much more to come.  You are not alone, we are together.

On behalf of the TAMACC family we wish you peace, health, and the opportunity to celebrate in your own way this glorious Easter.

Stay safe and healthy, lend a hand when you can, and leave a little for your neighbor – we are all in this together.
