Happy Thanksgiving!

At TAMACC we are thankful for the accomplishments of our events and activities this year. These successes would not have been possible if not for you - our leaders, members, supporters, and partners.

Wishing all a prosperous fourth quarter and the best to you and your families this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

A very happy Thanksgiving on behalf of the Chairman of the Board, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and President.

TAMACC Hispanic Leadership and Business Summit
On October 25, 2022, TAMACC hosted a Hispanic Leadership and Business Summit at the Texas State Capitol. It was a day of addressing issues and exploring solutions.

Thanks to the support of Walmart, Altria, and Coca-Cola, the stellar group of speakers, presenters, and participants made the summit a success.

This year’s Hispanic Leadership and Business Summit focused on technology, state procurement, workforce health, and access to capital. The information presented and the dialogue among panelists and attendees give TAMACC additional insight into legislative priorities.

Road Rage and Aggressive Driving
TAMACC and Texas Mutual Insurance would like to remind you that operating a vehicle in a way that endangers people or property is aggressive driving. Road rage occurs when behavior becomes violent. If you are caught you can be fined up to $200 for each violation.

Tips to avoid aggressive driving:
  • Stay calm and keep your emotions in check.
  • Plan ahead and anticipate delays.
  • Focus on your own driving. Be cautious and considerate.
  • Avoid creating a situation that may cause provocation.
  • Give angry drivers plenty of room.
  • Avoid eye contact.
  • Use the left lane only when passing.
  • Use your horn sparingly.
  • Do not tailgate or flash your lights behind someone.
  • Do not yell obscenities, respond to aggressive drivers, or make inappropriate hand gestures.
  • If you're concerned for your safety, call 911.
