Something for everyone at the 40th Annual Convention and Business Expo  Contact: Pauline Anton TAMACC Executive Director (512) 444-5727 www.TAMACC.org FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) 40th Annual Convention and Business Expo starts today.  This convention marks a huge milestone for the organization as business owners, community leaders, and elected officials from across the state of Texas and the United States gather in Austin, Texas. Over the next few days, the speakers and business leaders at the convention will share personal experiences that will both inspire and motivate the business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders.   Convention attendees will hear from expert facilitators on business and professional development while developing further the leaders of today and tomorrow during the workshops and business expo that is free to the public as a service to our communities.  Procurement opportunities and business to business matchmaking are focused sessions designed to develop business leads with other businesses and with public entities and universities.    Those registered for the convention will attend luncheons, receptions, and a gala to celebrate TAMACC's 40 years of advocacy for Hispanic owned and small businesses. Convention goers will hear from speakers such as The Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor of Texas; The Honorable Christi Craddick, Texas Railroad Commissioner; The Honorable David Porter, Texas Railroad Commissioner; Yolanda Garcia Olivarez, United States Small Business Administration Regional Administrator; The Honorable Eva Guzman, Supreme Court Justice; The Honorable Gisela D. Triana, Judge 200th District Court; Chancellor Veronica Vargas Stidvent, Western Governors University; Sonia Clayton, President and CEO, Virtual Intelligence Providers, LLC; and Shayla Rivera, the Funny Rocket Scientist to name a few.   TAMACC is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) organization founded in 1975 by a small group of Hispanic businesspersons interested in increasing business opportunities.
