| | | TAMACC to Host Statewide Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon
12 Latinas from Across Texas to be Honored |
AUSTIN, TEXAS: May 1, 2014 - The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) will honor female business and community leaders at its third annual Women of Distinction Awards luncheon Friday, May 16, 2014 in Austin, Texas. Twelve Latinas will be recognized for their professional accomplishments and community contributions. "TAMACC recognizes that Texas has one of the largest numbers of Hispanic women-owned businesses in the United States at approximately 140,000 and is continuing to grow," said Roland Barrera, TAMACC Board Chair. "But it is important to recognize the Latinas who are making great contributions in their professions and communities."
