Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States to remember the men and women who died while serving in our armed forces and to honor their memory for the service they were providing - giving all of us the freedom and ideals we enjoy. Today at 3:00 PM, local time, is the National Moment of Remembrance to voluntarily and informally pause for a moment of silence in observance and respect. Greatly and proudly let us remember our family, neighbors, friends who have offered the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and the ideals that, regardless of our origin, unify us as a nation. "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty." - John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th President of the United States On behalf of the Chairman, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Staff, we thank you. |
