TAMACC Hosting Hispanic Business Convention

Latino GDP Hits Record $4.1 Trillion, the 5th Largest Economy in the World

Latinos have once again powered major growth in the U.S. economy. According to the 2025 U.S. Latino Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Report, produced by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Cal Lutheran, the total economic output of Latinos in the United States reached $4.1 trillion in 2023, up from $3.7 trillion in 2022.

To put that in perspective, if the U.S. Latino GDP were its own country, it would rank as the fifth-largest economy in the world, surpassing the United Kingdom, India, and France.

El Grito de Independencia de México returns to Austin September 15, 2025

The Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association (ASSCA), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Austin, Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation, the City of Austin, Garcia Injury Law, Casa Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, and Texas Gas Service, invites the Austin metropolitan area and Central Texas to join in celebrating El Grito de Independencia de México on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Republic Square Park (422 Guadalupe Street).

Lights, Camera, Leadership! Session IV Recap

Session IV of TAMACC’s Leadership Tejas Class II was one for the books—two unforgettable days packed with hands-on experiences, powerful insights, and game-changing lessons in leadership.

Day One: Mastering the Media

The spotlight was on as the cohorts dove into a full day of media training, designed by Dr. Judy Oskam, Professor and Director of Texas State’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. With an all-star lineup of media pros, Class II learned what it takes to shine whenever the cameras roll.

Day Two: Taking Flight at the Commemorative Air Force

The second day lifted the class to new heights at the Cen-Tex Wing of the Commemorative Air Force in San Marcos. Stepping into the active WWII hangar was like stepping back in time. The class toured vintage aircraft, including WWII warbirds, before settling into the historic Officers’ Club for a day of learning.

Mariachi Rock Revolution: The Electrified Experience

In this episode, the Latino Business Report interviews classically trained violinist and powerhouse vocalist Haydn Vitera. On Friday, August 1, 2025, Pulido will perform the national anthem at the TAMACC Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon, celebrating 12 trailblazing Latinas who are transforming Texas through courage, brilliance, and cultural pride. This rare appearance outside his concert tour is a gift to fans and a tribute to the women who are shaping our future.

Born in Edinburg, Texas, Pulido grew up backstage—nurtured by a musical legacy and a mother’s steady love. His debut album, Desvelado, launched a career that has spanned nearly 30 years and has generations of Tejano fans. Now, he returns to his roots to honor the leaders carrying our community forward.
