Latino GDP Hits Record $4.1 Trillion, the 5th Largest Economy in the World


Latinos have once again powered major growth in the U.S. economy. According to the 2025 U.S. Latino Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Report, produced by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Cal Lutheran, the total economic output of Latinos in the United States reached $4.1 trillion in 2023, up from $3.7 trillion in 2022.


To put that in perspective, if the U.S. Latino GDP were its own country, it would rank as the fifth-largest economy in the world, surpassing the United Kingdom, India, and France.

The Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association (ASSCA), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Austin, Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation, the City of Austin, Garcia Injury Law, Casa Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, and Texas Gas Service, invites the Austin metropolitan area and Central Texas to join in celebrating El Grito de Independencia de México on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Republic Square Park (422 Guadalupe Street).

Lights, Camera, Leadership! Session IV Recap


Session IV of TAMACC’s Leadership Tejas Class II was one for the books—two unforgettable days packed with hands-on experiences, powerful insights, and game-changing lessons in leadership.


Day One: Mastering the Media


The spotlight was on as the cohorts dove into a full day of media training, designed by Dr. Judy Oskam, Professor and Director of Texas State’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. With an all-star lineup of media pros, Class II learned what it takes to shine whenever the cameras roll.


Day Two: Taking Flight at the Commemorative Air Force


The second day lifted the class to new heights at the Cen-Tex Wing of the Commemorative Air Force in San Marcos. Stepping into the active WWII hangar was like stepping back in time. The class toured vintage aircraft, including WWII warbirds, before settling into the historic Officers’ Club for a day of learning.
